Achievements:

I have served on the Patient Services Council with Novant Health.  This is a committee that brings Patient Service Coordinators throughout the Greater Charlotte Market for Novant Health.  We provide information, team building and networking opportunities.

EPIC Dimensions is the electronic medical records software that is used by Novant Health. I have been approved and am now serving as an EPIC superuser where I support team members with Dimensions expertise that is learned through monthly meetings.

I was recently selected to help develop a continuing education class for Patient Service Coordinators with Novant Health to teach PSC's about Medicare Annual Wellness Visits for patients. Only two were selected for this task from the Greater Charlotte Market.

I was selected to help develop a process for reconciling the lab bill within the Medical Clinic and have served as a resource for other practices that struggle with this task.

I am a preceptor for Clerical Supervisors within Novant Health.  When a new Clerical Supervisor is hired, Novant Health assigns a preceptor to help learn the processes and procedures of the new team members job role.

Volunteering:

For many years now, I have volunteered with the Miracle League of Charlotte.  I have a thirteen year old friend with cerebral palsy.  The Miracle League is an organization that serves children and adults who suffer from any physical or mental disability.  While some baseball leagues exclude these amazing athletes, the Miracle League is designed specifically for them.  I love helping the players on the field.  This gives the parents the opportunity to sit and watch their children play a sport and cheer for them.  I love the enthusiasm and pure joy from the players.  I have done several mission trips, one to Honduras and one to do clean up after Hurricane Katrina as well as other local trips.

Extra Curricular:

In my free time, I love to spend time with my family outdoors.  I like to hike, travel and kayak.  I have three dogs, two which are rescues.
